About UKAPS

UKAPS, United Kingdom Aspiring Paediatricians Society, is an exciting venture that connects university paediatric societies across the UK. Established in 2014 by students from Imperial and Newcastle Universities, UKAPS gained the support and endorsement of the RCPCH in 2016. Since then, the society has grown rapidly. UKAPS enables the sharing of ideas, and helps student societies advertise their events nationally. UKAPS aims to encourage medical students with an interest in paediatrics by facilitating their access to opportunities and mentors in the field through its connection with the RCPCH. Over the course of its early years, UKAPS has set up its annual Autumn conference, its newsletter, and is developing a number of national, RCPCH endorsed prize opportunities. For more information, to advertise your society’s events, to contribute your society’s activities to our blog, or to share your ideas, please get in touch.
